As the day continued above them?

Would you have leaned close
And whispered in someones ear?
And let them in
On the closenes of your fears?

Would time have stood still
As you touched someone's soul?
And you lifted eachother
Towards a common goal?

Would you have smelled
Sweetness in full bloom?
Would you have felt
The dreaminess of a nighttime moon?

Would you have soothed a baby's cry
As it remembered something in the night?
Would you have helped that baby's dreams
Helped them to take flight?

Would you have smiled at a passerby
As you brushed eachother in the street?
Would you have stood in a crowded room
And given a stranger your seat?

Would you have let go of
Rusty anger in an old fight
Or would you have carried those futile grudges
With you into the night?

Would you have been a shoulder to cry on
When the pain was just too much to bear?
And when someone felt pure joy
Would you have been there to share?

Would you have danced with
Full freedom in the daylight?
Not caring if anyone was there
To see the amusing sight?

Would you have known
The joy of giving
What no one could ever take from you;
The joy of living?

Just a gentle reminder to myself and to all to live in the moment because it doesn't stop and wait and time never reverses...
