poem: Love you anyway

I see you walking further away
Even though the sun rose on both of us today
The wall is creeping higher and higher,
I wonder where you're taking your desire
Although the hurt moves over like a storm
and the words between us are weary and worn,
I keep looking at a brighter day
And I'm going to love you anyway

Your shield is up, your steps do quicken
What is it thats takes you to this place so driven,
You turn my tears into a rushing wild river
To drown out the noise
Of what might bring you nearer,
But I can't avoid the brighter day
And I'm going to love you anyway

What keeps us apart could keep us closer
If we learnt to live and accept whats dark in each other,
If we saw the rainbows through the rain
If we saw the love given to each other
After we created any pain,
If we went to the places where each others wounds are weeping
And held each other as the darkness deepened,
I know we'd reach this brighter day
You'd take my hand and we could say
We love each other anyway.

Very nice. I like it. It is clear and meaningful, and it has a good strong point.

That really is the ultimate form of love, unconditional. Accepting the faults and darksides of each other.

you see so many people splitting up because they can't take the good with the bad and if you embrace the bad too you can end up it all coming together for the good cause the love shines through despite this and the unconditional acceptance of each other actually brings two people closer together...

That is exactly how I feel


Love isn't a walk in the park. It is hard, yet rewarding. I get irratated when people give up, or more so, give in on relationships and allow them to deteriorate. Love requires two people giving 100% to each other in order to overcome.

And perhaps... i never thought about it this way...
but, perhapst the hardships, the inevitable hardships
like what you speak pf
maybe they are like a glue or bond that really brings couples together, and makes them one.


See, I always sort of thought about it that way, but never... grasped it lilke that........

Good writing.

Differences unite....too bad mankind can't see the love through the battle. Children's eyes so battle weary.....all they are looking for is love but instead hatred forces the love to hideaway and not shine like the sun which creates rainbows through the storm.
