On that spring night,
You held me close
The breeze blowing through my hair
Our bodies swayed
I leaned on you
I felt your lips on my forehead

On that spring night,
I fell to the ground
As did you
Still holding me tightly
As the rain poured down

On that spring night,
My pain exploded
The puddles weren't water
The street was my deathbed
Your cries my farewell

On that spring night,
I pushed you away
I can't let you catch this disease
That is spread by looking
But you didn't close your eyes

On that spring night,
You finally understood
That you could never understand
And it finally hit me
That I wasn't ready

But my time had come

On that spring night

your poetry is always very biting emotionally BC.

the ending lines of this one hit me hard, things always happen when we're not ready it seems
