sorry it's been a while. down on the farm...don't ask about the blink-and-you'll-miss-it vietnam reference. give me a few days to figure out what this one's about, or take your own stab at it...

NOMENCLATURE

she loves me
she loves me slipknot
windsor tie
window down
cravat flapping like passenger dog tongue

on the radio rabies buzz
tones for tin-eared tabletop transistors
barbershop quartet offensive--
celebrate the singular voice
selling sheet warmers on street corners
fire in the fuselage
found in the fossil age
just out on a larkeology
expedishin' out the nomenclature
like a three-martini'ed mother nature
beaver tailed you back to the damn-god bar
strafing the stripes off the zebra

fertile the cows come home
their waste a paste for posies
damp wires 'round the campfires
diffused/by dawn declawed
where we swapped all the stories like smores
and pointed our bows at the sky.

I really love your work, Lazarus, and this one is no exception. It has an almost Dylan-esque "Subterranean Homesick Blues" feel.

Your brilliant in all the meanings of the word, crafting words so expertly, wow I feel like a hack lol:wink:
