All the nights I would stay up,
Starring at you,
Thinking about-
How much, I . . .
Genuinely,
Love you,
You never knew,
Never had a clue.

And laughed-
It made me smile and laugh,
And still sad all the same
(Knowing how seldom it came)

Thinking-
Could we make it though this life?

Like we were ?supposed? to,
Deep conversations and such,
Just making small talk- never much.
This always bothered me,

Feeling like it didn?t matter that much to you,
Perhaps you were just too caught up in your own feelings

How much it hurt me.

(Even though I told you over and over),

Until you slept (many times with your back toward me),
You never knowing,
Many of those nights I needed you holding me.
