Green tile floor scrubbed sparkling clean
Slick as dew, in its glare I see you
Staring down at me
Behind my back, a wraith on my shoulder
Is it clean enough for you?
Can?t you see yourself as well as you see me?
Your still form, watching, looking, evaluating, measuring
Never revealing
What I leave bare for the world to see
And so I scrub and I sweep and try to please
But I?ll never know just how you feel
And you?ll know everything there is to know
about me.
