through the misty fog.

the clouds part...
and there you are!
My old friend...
back with me,
filling the nights with love and laughter.
But the storm always returns
and sweeps you far away.
Why can't the sunshine of your smile
dry up all of this rain?
Why can't you stay with me?
I miss you...
most of all when I walk past a mirror too quickly
and I see the sparkle in the eyes
that used to be alive all of the time
Some day, maybe some day
I will find me again
and be able to hold on to myself forever.
