Another poem, written back when
Definitively need to sit down with paper & pencil soon :hmm:

My Journey

I've sent my soul upon a journey
The day of its return still unsure
Withdrawing doubts and wonders
Visiting unbelievable places
Worshipped only by joy

I've sent my soul upon a journey
Somewhere, faraway out of sight
Believing leading the way
On a grassy road in wooden lands
Reaching slowly the sea

I've sent my soul upon a journey
Anytime across the water
It may long to leave soon
No rush needed, time will come around
Stars colliding in the sky

I've sent my soul upon a journey
It waved me goodbye a long time ago
Before I even knew myself
Walking at its own pace
It may lead to you

I've sent my soul upon a journey
Of many goals yet unclear
Following my only heart
Little soul faraway, but close to mind
Reaching her arms across the ocean...

What do you think?!

It sounds like it'd make for a great song. Perhaps a lyrical one from olden times, or something. Has a very bright, peaceful, hopeful tone to it, but it's a sincere kind of happiness and optimism. I picture a beach somewhere, with a vast ocean, and a sunset. Pretty :).

Awesome

You painted a calmative picture here (just my feelings ).
And I agree, it should be lyrics for a song, it's a very melodic work. :)

Girls you've made my week!!!:love::love:......who cares if I'm assured that I've failed my stats exam tonight

Wow, it could be a song!
See, that's why it is sometimes extremely useful to share one's thoughts with others, they give you an insight, an edge you've completely missed!

I'm at lost for words really, I LOVE poetry and I've been writing since I was 11 or something, about boys with blond hair like corn, back then:lol:

THANK YOU!! :heart::cute::hug:

:cute::cute::cute: So you must have had a lot of fun with that :D
I used to write poetry when I was about 11-15 ;) Then I certified it's not really my cup of tea and turned to prose.
But I still enjoy reading great poems
Have you got some favourite poets? :)

:giggle: You don't have to pretend like "blond" and "corn" can be called "poetry" But I guess, we all have to start somewhere!

Prose is wonderful too, well, pretty much ANY type of writing, I like!
As for my favourite poets, well, the list always change, but most definitively: Emily Dickinson, Rainer Maria Rilke, Shakespeare, John Keats, Lord Byron... and I want to start W. B. Yeats before going to Ireland:cute:

If we're talking about Ireland and poetry, I can recommend you Celtic Prayers - wonderful poems :cute: They show the athmosphere of medieval Britain  The sea, people... Brilliant

I read the biography of G.G. Byron, what a man! He was a bigger scandalist than famous 21st-century celebrities :sexywink: And from his name comes my email address
