Smile, you're reading my post
Summer's moonlight ascends upon the new,
Hurried abandon is cast within a few.
Fear clampers down over the brow of the afraid,
transcending their dreams into the shadow of a grave.

Time moves still, the moon is bright,
Faith without wisdom is a mocker's delight.
City is lost within the world at its feet,
A cry for help heard, in the place where lovers meet.

The shining belongs to the fortunate sky,
Enticing them near, then leads them to die.
Faith is their dream, faith is their God,
It lurks in the shadows of the places once trod.

Seek out the city and its beating heart,
Throws them against the wall and tears them apart.
Faith al that is left, but the stars in the night,
Curiously crushing thier devious plight.

Zoomanda,

That's really great

really good stuff! We need to always keep the faith -- but put it in its proper place

-I'm not sure if I quite know what you're getting at on the whole, Bebe is probably on track, but this particular line is my life right now, so let me just extract it for my own purposes, even if I am taking it out of context...

"The shining belongs to the fortunate sky"

-and this is simply a beautiful line of poetry

great poem ZooManda... thanks

thanks guys, as usual you are all too kind.

it could be about running from your problems, running to another place, to a city where your dreams can come true..

it could be about running to a lover, to someone new who you think can take your blues away...

to a religion, to a friend..

either way, you're running to that for the wrong reasons and in the end, it or s/he is gonna kick you in the arse, leaving you with what?

yes Bebe, where does faith belong, do we have our priorities right? Where does our faith lie and why?

man, you got me talkign about my own poem, I never do that!
