memory

[Strato Edge]

midnight burning through my eyes
maybe somethings gone
i looked real hard and saw the rain
maybe somethings wrong
i made the trip, i've seen the light
it's been so long
the door is scratched and charred
the windows of light closed and barred
my memory is a gaping hole
i've never been so lost before
the ground's so cold i lost my head
burned right through my bed
distance panning out so far
oceans and light years right in front of me
I try so hard to remember
but how soon do i forget?
