i want to write

i so want to post something
i am dying and craving for it
but i just can't write like i once did
i used to write poetry everyday
now im lucky to scrounge up one a week.
have i lost it?

the want is there, but the spark, the words..

i also want to go back to uni and learn how to do it properly.
i really studied for the wrong career and now im up the creek.
but if i go back and start all over again, i will be like 29 when i finish, and have to struggle with no money and work a shitty part time casual job for 3 years.
plus i'd have 2 degrees to pay for for the rest of my life. One is bad enough.

but..i really want to do it

What is wrong with you people? There is NOTHING wrong with you talent or creative-wise, why so self-critical? Do you honestly think that Yeats, Blake or Milton poured their souls out everyday of their lives? Of course not, there is a such a thing as quality control, and, if you WERE writing poetry everyday, I'm sorry, it would most likely be stuff that is not worthwhile. The harder you find to express something, the more worthwhile it is.

Talent and Inspiration can be bastards some times, but don't let the bastards grind you down. When the time is right, 'it' will come to you.

I'm lucky if I manage to write something once every 3 months

if it's really what you want to do, go to uni
maybe you could look for a part time job you can enjoy instead of a crappy one

not that I've noticed you having a problem with writing from what you've posted here, but a lot of the time, writing gets tied up by really strong emotions. at least it does for me.

if you really want to go back to college and do it, then do it.
