Here's a poem I wrote rather quickly a few days ago. Hope you enjoy.
Consider a hollow happiness,
When you're all alone.
You hide out in the shadows
Where there's no place else to go.
Sweet dreams have vanished,
And you feel so disconnected.
You have no emotion
So you know you're not affected.
It's alright,
Take comfort in nothing.
Because there are no fears
When you don't feel anything.
So you return, time and again,
To this surrogate bliss.
Though there are no hard times,
You sure miss the memories.
Emptiness festers all around
In this world of none.
You find that the mountain you climbed
Was really a canyon.
Hollow Happiness.
How was it?
Consider a hollow happiness,
When you're all alone.
You hide out in the shadows
Where there's no place else to go.
Sweet dreams have vanished,
And you feel so disconnected.
You have no emotion
So you know you're not affected.
It's alright,
Take comfort in nothing.
Because there are no fears
When you don't feel anything.
So you return, time and again,
To this surrogate bliss.
Though there are no hard times,
You sure miss the memories.
Emptiness festers all around
In this world of none.
You find that the mountain you climbed
Was really a canyon.
Hollow Happiness.
