eat thru brains

time and again
we watched our world turn
a mix of bliss and peacefulness
but it wasn't long til we watched
our villages join the trees that burned
and on the subject of time again
we're reminded just how memories may hurt
especially if while drenched in tormenting rains that burn
as the carcasses of trees are swallowed out of their dirt
brains, beautiful and thick luscious brains
can you see thru the pain
or does the power
eat thru brains!
when, when will you talk
about the time
yes, when you really let your worms soak
maybe preciousness can become a cheap luxury again
and again we'll return to an era
where time was free and money it ceased
because the brainchild had yet to turn barter evil
then monuments and beautiful buildings wouldn't stand
not due to wanton carnage and violence
but rather natural causes would be reasons
for why we'd eventually expire
brains, the sweet soaking of brains
could they get anymore the same?
in repetition and repetoire
or no, is the lust for power the same
nothing can become too conquered in power to
eat thru brains!
the best thing for the present
might be to pray and hope for the future
so that our sun will rise
and light up the skies
instead of deathly ventures
time, well time presses on
and it won't be too long
before we find what happens
when, when searching for power resides
and greed controls our own thick heads, spines and hides to
eat thru brains
