even NJ loves NY
what I wouldn't give
to feel whole again
to walk through that door
and feel my defenses bend

it seems as a simple haze now
quicker than the fleet-of-foot
the days we danced upon the heather
have cast into the dull night its baleful look

you caught my dreams in the candlelight
your face was lit, your eyes not dimmed
a part of you broke into me
the melding of a sun so icy-rimmed

but morning came as the flowers should grow
sleep's drug cast its weary spell
you were laid to rest beneath bare dirt
and when I awoke, none were left to tell

still dawn chases dusk across her sky
and as I grow your image fades
wring the silence from these words
and perhaps you'll find my rest made...

I searched the lonely echoes for your voice
and I found a piece of you, left buried in me.

for Caroline, Cathryn, Bronwyn, and all the other little children who aren't so little anymore

that's an album I still need to get..
almost did the other day but then i saw the WGRYWH single and couldn't resist

thanks, Wanderer

ah yes, that has those nasty little covers on it doesn't it? they shouldn't have let those get out... although it does have the acoustic, temple bar mix, though I like the album version better (I think I am in the minority there)

you're dangerous, 'cause you're honest

this reminds me so much of the Pumpkins' Adore, and the songs on there, and I guess it also reminds me of how I often feel and reflect on things in my life... anyways, thanks, your poetry has always moved me

yes, actually think i like the temple bar mix better so i guess i'm just boring 'ole majority

I think the most important thing is to end well. Sad, but very beautiful.

By the way, I like the temple bar remix best too
