Any idea why the band chose to do this song in Latin? I know it's based on the movie/book...a movie I saw a very long time ago and a book I only have finished. Can someone explain this song to me?

I think it's in the B-side Alex Descends into Hell, but I could be wrong. It's from a Catholic requiem mass.
