Born under a bad sign with a blue moon in your eye
There is a calm just before dawn
silent darkness blankets the ground
a random street lamp gives trees murky shadows
this is the world when it sleeps

The sun starts to peek around
painting the clouds orange and red
turning frost into dew
turning dew into mist

The painted clouds fade to white
as the sun makes it's journey
the trees have now taken the orange and red
from the clouds, before they too fade to the ground

The street lamps dim
as the sun gives trees sharper shadows
taking the cool blanket off the grass
This is the world when it is waking up

Beautiful, Daisybean! I felt like I was floating around in the sky watching all this. And it made me want to eat pumpkin pie and rake leaves! autumn!

It is odd how we write about different things. People, events, emotions, etc. This just made me picture a scenery in my head. thanks

I love the dawn and twilight.

it is very clean and still when the world is waking up. and pretty just like your poem :)
I like it!
