I must emphasise that the following is not my work at all... I've been thoroughly uninspired to write anything lately, and I thought I'd share one of my favourite songs with everyone, considering any non-Aussies or Kiwis will probably not have heard it. Wanderer's thread about what U2 lyrics people wished they wrote reminded me of this, if there was a non-U2 lyric I'd like to claim, it'd be this...

Four Seasons In One Day

Four seasons in one day
Lying in the depths of your imagination
Worlds above and worlds below
The sun shines on the black clouds hanging over the domain

Even when you're feeling warm
The temperature could drop away
Like four seasons in one day

Smiling as the shit comes down
You can tell a man from what he has to say
Everything gets turned around
And I will risk my neck again, again

You can take me where you will
Up the creek and through the mill
All the things you can't explain
Four seasons in one day

Blood dries up
Like rain, like rain
Fills my cup
Like four seasons in one day

It doesn't pay to make predictions
Sleeping on an unmade bed
Finding out wherever there is comfort there is pain
Only one step away
Like four seasons in one day

Blood dries up
Like rain, like rain
Fills my cup
Like four seasons in one day

(Words and Music by Tim Finn and Neil Finn)

Look for Crowded House on Napster or something... beautiful song.

Just thought I'd share...

I LOVE Crowded House! There's a little thread in the Lemonade forum about them. I'm not sure what my favourite lyric by them is, though. Maybe Private Universe. But Neil Finn's lyrics are incredibly fascinating. I can think of no other lyricist so obsessed with kitchens.

hey Ali, i was singing along as i read that. Woodface is such a great album.

I've been feeling this one so so much of late. Here's ZooMe's themesong witha lil help from Maddy...

Silky smooth
Lips as sweet as candy, baby
Tight blue jeans
Skin that shows in patches
Strong inside but you don?t know it
Good little girls they never show it
When you open up your mouth to speak
Could you be a little weak?

Do you know what it feels like
for a girl?
Do you know what it feels like in this world
for a girl?

Hair that twirls on finger tips so gently, baby
Hands that rest on jutting hips repenting
Hurt that?s not supposed to show and
Tears that fall when no one knows
When you?re trying hard to be your best
Could you be a little less

Do you know what it feels like
for a girl?
Do you know what it feels like in this world
for a girl?

Do you know what it feels like
for a girl?
Do you know what it feels like in this world
for a girl?

Strong inside but you don?t know it
Good little girls they never show it
When you open up your mouth to speak
Could you be a little weak?

Do you know what it feels like
for a girl?
Do you know what it feels like in this world
for a girl?

Do you know what it feels like
for a girl?
Do you know what it feels like in this world
for a girl?

In this world
Do you know?
Do you know?
Do you know what it feels like
for a girl?
What it feels like in this world

We know dont we girls?

Hey 'Manda

I don't actually have Woodface, just the Best-Of (shame on me)... Crowded House is on my list of bands to buy up their CDs when I get more money... *sigh* It's a loooong list.
Must swing by the Lemonade Stand...
