Your ice cold eyes make my heart skip a beat
Forming snow angels in the summer heat
Point to the sky with a slender finger
Show me the lies that forever linger
Twisted illusions that creep in my head
Knocking me onto a hospital bed
Physical restraints will not help my mind
A shot shuts my eyes, but I am not blind
I wake up and see everything's the same
The only difference is the newborn shame
Clawing at the walls won't open a door
But logic won't appease me anymore
I see you approach like a silent storm
With misty rain and breezes oh so warm
Draw pictures in the air with colored breath
Tell me how close you've been to velvet death
Smiles and frowns are all the same in the room
Let us prick ourselves on the brightest bloom
We'll sing the saddest songs ever written
In a hushed voice that tells me we're smitten
We sit on the floor like a king and queen
A shooting star has fallen on my scene
Go away, nurse, we don't need you right now
Everything has gotten better somehow

Thank you. :)
