can I reclaim that walk you took with me,
past the river,
into the sea,
the sky blue,
your heart true,
your face in the sun ,
your hair in a bun,
innocence that you can't buy,
makes me wish we could try,
runaway
brokendown, bordertown
I'd reach across and bring you back to me,
if only it were that easy,
to let it go,
to set you free,
a light in the sky,
you so bright,
the only star in the night,
awake in bed,
thinking of words never said,
a fall from grace,
a new place,
all alone,
no cellular phone,
no electronic sea,
no other for my love to be
just a rose at your feet,
