even NJ loves NY
whatever you thought
no one cared anyway
whatever you felt
illusion lost in the smoke
whatever you tried
fell to the trash stillborn
shut out the light
screaming bloodshot eyes
windows to your fucked up soul
rip through the flesh
brood over nothingness
I lost you and your damn tricks
a long time ago anyway
~~~~~
why do I wait?
why do I sit still
when I could run til I drop dead?
I want to scream at you
scream at you cruel world
until my lungs fall out
bloody in the dirt
the strangled, choked cry
let my soul bleed out of me
in this wild frenzy
I lie a huddled heap
unconscious and senseless
call it teenage angst
me writes some angry poetry too
Just the bang and the clatter
As an angel runs to ground...
feels good to get it out sometimes though, huh?
you write every emotion so well, I am truly amazed at the depth of your writing...
Remind me not to make you mad, BabyGrace.
Very emotional and powerful writing.
I want to scream at you
scream at you cruel world
until my lungs fall out
bloody in the dirt
**Work like you don't
need money, love like
you've never been hurt,
and dance like no
one's watching.**
thanks guys
poetry can be the best form of release. I go back and read some of the stuff I wrote years ago, and I'm suddenly like..."oh yeah, that's what I was feeling!" Amazing what poetry can tell you about your own life. I once wrote a poem called "I f**king Hate You" about an ex-girlfriend....let's just say I haven't looked back since writing that, but until I got that emotion out, I was really messed up. I saw something recently, I don't know where, but they said something like, "if you write with emotion in your heart, it will show through"...I think it was something from U2, anyway, it's so true.
Nice one BG....
