ELEVATION

Somehow he seeps into your blood
and into your heart,
tugs at the strings
and takes you to that other place
of blissful rapture.

Somehow he becomes part of your life -
sings to you with sounds
that sear the soul -
speaks to you with poetry
that make your hair stand up.

And with his actions
reminds us that the world
could be a better place.

With arms outstretched
he took me on a musical journey
like no other -
leaving me breathless and misty eyed.

Somehow he elevates me
to make every day beautiful.


Of course this poem is about The Edge, Adam and Larry as well, how can you separate them.
I've been writing poetry for a couple of years, but this is my first about U2.
