yeah, you guessed it . . . anyway, I thought that quote was a good way to introduce this next poem, which I am quite fond of--so don't be too critical!


"The Kissing Fish"

Beautiful fish swim.
How the Water loves to touch you!
You kiss it gently as it replenishes your life.
Does it sadden you that that you must stay immersed in the Water's kingdom?
Is it lonely in the depths of your lover's heart?
Do you swim free,
or is that bowl too small?
