This is a poem I wrote a while ago. It is a selection from my "Children of the World" writings....I guess I was on a mission to try to save the world but it never seemed to work out. Just my thoughts on how "the Children" felt about things written in their style.
Thought I'd share...just a different side of me.

If Children Ruled The World
The Children of the World
had a meeting yesterday
they thought about what if....
Children ruled the World.
If Children ruled the World
there would be no hunger anywhere
no child would have to beg
for a meager crust of bread.
A mother and her child
would always have a home
a place to shelter them
from the heat and from the cold.
There would be education
for all the boys and girls
to learn the A-B-Cs
to learn the wrong from right.
If Children ruled the World
there would be charity for all
it’s all Mankind standing tall
with shoes upon their feet.
Bondage would have no place
if Children ruled the World
freedom for the Children
and for all People everywhere.
Disease would have no voice to hear
of its death and its despair
when Children hear the battle call
they fight for what’s called “Life”.
If Children ruled the World
it would be Peace and not be war
no sound of gunfire thru the night
just star light upon the floor.
The Children would respect
the rivers and the seas
the fish and the animals
all the birds up in the trees.
If Children ruled the World
it would be a better place to live
for the Children have the answer....
from the “heart” their thoughts begin.
