Sheer will and determination.
Protecting every pulse, every beat.

Demon in her ear,
Whispering in an angels tongue.
Kingdoms clash,
And she is left stung.

Held by steady hands,
And a hope.
The long times spent,
Pretending it wasn't even there.

A flicker.
A blinding spark.
Reminds her to undo the lock.
