"A Dilema: Getting Lost In The Push"

Keep going,
under the chill of this heavy
season.
I see a smile,
a wink of hope --
a face of something beyond all of this.
Feet on softness, hardness, I don't know what -- and all balance is gone, as
the doorway to my life comes crashing down,
closed --
SLAM!
and it takes so much
to open it, to begin to push it open again
So I close it off,
forgetting the face in the wind.
But I MUST not say goodbye to all that I must be
and I remember:
You must move in the same direction,
in order to get lost in its flow....

(I just wrote this in three minutes. That's probably why it's so bad!)
