Your old rocking horse stands in the corner
Covered with dust
Brush it off and you?ve got memories
To haunt the rest of your life

Burn your thoughts and your screams
And paint with a round palette
In which every color is bright
But you always want to make black

Throw that color in the face of your enemy
And look in the mirror
Are you dripping or dry?

Lock up your cold steel
And sear your nerves so you can?t feel
I know
You made a wound that won?t heal

Block the light
For the sun is no more
And the clouds bury your senses
And shield your rationality

But you?ve got that sliver of hope
And if you?d only run with it
I would see your painting
Turn to purple than blue
And mine would turn to shades of light
And together we might make
A masterpiece

But right now
Ice metal is stuck though your heart
And it burns
A fire kindling forever in the bottom
Of your existence.

Throw that color in the face of your enemy
And look in the mirror
Are you dripping or dry?

this seems like a painful past haunting the present, but i like the hope in the poem, it's a very pretty piece Foadie.

very powerful, foadie.

But you always want to make black
