The year in review, let's see.... :hmm:

Started off being fairly ok, I got a promotion at the first job I got right after I graduated... It later turned to quasi-dramatic in the second-third-fourth months of the year. I made some new friends, took a trip with one of my best friends on my birthday, summer was stable and fun, albeit a tad stressful with grad school apps. A close relative passed away this summer and then my mom had a health scare. That was bad but thank God she got better.

Then... I made yet another huge change in my life by moving across the country, on my own, cold turkey. New life, new school, new area, new everything. Everything was new and exciting at first but the first couple months here in California were mega-stressful.

After school started, things started getting better, stabilizing. And a couple months ago I was accepted into the Honors Master's program, so yay, another feather in my cap.

So 2008 was.... a year of changes.

Oooooh what did you get?

2593608250_bb30bd37cd_m.jpg

went through depression last winter
put on weight
made it to Spring
felt better
lost 15 pounds
briefly met one of my favorite Red Sox players, he was very nice (and very cute)
went to Opening Day at Fenway Park, had a great day
enjoyed the summer with my dog, while she was still doing ok in spite of her health/age issues
everything else was same old same old
a couple of weeks before my birthday my dog started failing
she had to be put down, the day after my birthday
just felt very sad the rest of the year
Christmas felt very lonely
tough winter again
feel myself starting to get depressed again, have to get myself out of that somehow

Well, there wasn't too much going on for me this year, but I can honestly say that 2008 was decent. Especially, after the shitty year I had in 2007.

A couple of highlights:

In February, my New York Giants won the Super Bowl for the first in 17 years.

In June, I met my girlfriend and our first 6 months together have been great.
