Everyone here are the most uplifting folks I know....I didn't write about this but I had a horrid infection this summer and nearly died twice....had to have blood transfused in three separate hospita stays...I am just to the point to return to work and guess what....blood work showed the infection has returned.....I am really feeling down and a wee scared....if any of you have time please send me some uplifting messages or lyrics you find encouraging....Of course I get my daily dose of U2....feel free to email me or post here.....arrogantu2fan1@verizon.net...thanks Love Susan

See the world in green and blue
See China right in front of you
See the canyons broken by cloud
See the tuna fleets clearing the sea out
See the Bedouin fires at night
See the oil fields at first light, and
See the bird with a leaf in her mouth
After the flood all the colors came out
It was a beautiful day
Don't let it get away

Susan, so sorry to hear of your illness, I hope the doctors can do a miracle drug for you and get rid of that nasty infection... Theres people here if you need someone and you can always PM if you need a shoulder.

JC

Wow, I am really sorry about this. I hope you will recover soon and get right back to normal to back to yourself.

Interference will always (hopefully:wink: ) be here for you

So sorry to hear to that you are sick again, and that you must be very discourage about what is happening to you. Like phillyfan26 said about the U2's song Walk On, I know it helped me get through my mother's death. Sometimes if you try to think about the things in your life that has and is making you happy, helps. Just remember, that we are care about you, and will always be of support for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

 I'm so sorry to hear that you are ill again Susan.

This song always helps me when in rough times:

Let your troubles roll by - Carbon Leaf
Love endures, it clings away
when asked to leave, it begs to stay
like the perfect song at imperfect times
it's the way the chords struck with the rhymes
so let your troubles roll by

He knows he can help himself
he can tell by a look at the books on his shelf
and someone somewhere loses her son
before her own sunset is set and done
and she dreams of sunflowers bent over
frozen in the snow and thinks Colorado
but then plays her life back in slow motion
to keep in touch with that raw emotion
in the night crushed empty can
Olive Oyl's waiting for her man
to come in from the fight that will change their life
for good this time

when all of your tears dry, let your troubles roll by
when all of your tears dry, let your troubles roll by
when all of your tears dry, let your troubles roll by
let your troubles roll by

like new years eve tonight's underway
but tomorrow you'll wake up afraid of the day
'cause underneath the scars of your broken dreams
an undone war still wages and stings
you fear the year will blow like a breeze through
a rainbow you swear it's there but you can't grab a hold
so you sit and cry and wonder why why

when all of your tears dry, let your troubles roll by
when all of your tears dry, let your troubles roll by
when all of your tears dry, let your troubles roll by
let your troubles roll by

so many cities and windows and lives
and through each one there's a soul that strives to survive
so pay no mind, my sorrow's fine
the day is alive and that's why i cry
it's a new year toast, grab your list to conspire
the last snake hissed as he was thrown in the fire
you've come far and though you're far from the end
you don't mind where you are 'cause you know where you've been
like a culture vulture sprawled out on the floor
like a dead devil sailor washed up on the shore
with nothing of note but the old captain's coat
and a burning boat you just sank with your salty
tears dry, let your troubles roll by

when all of your tears dry, let your troubles roll by
when all of your tears dry, let your troubles roll by
let your troubles roll by

(the 2nd and 3rd verses are what really call out to me.)

Don´t let them (doctors) give you any antibiotics, ask them to make a previous study to find out wich antibiotic is better before they give it to you OK :)

Be patient. God Always help those who pray with faith

Thank you guys!!! What started this ordeal was a antibiotic given for a abcess tooth so they could do a root canal...it allowed the toxin (Clostridium Toxin A&B) to grow out of control and become systemic....visited the Dr. this am and they are starting me back on Vancomyicin and adding Rifampin...this is what the CDC in Atlanta has recommended. They actually flew a Dr. up when I was so ill this summer. I have not been able to work since July and am going crazy in this house!!! I am a "doer" and it is horrid to be in a house!!!! I have watched every U2 DVD at least 15 times are so. Although I do not post a whole lot...I read all the time....You guys are all very special to me!!! Love Susan

Im so sorry that you are having to go through this again Susan  Remember that whenever you turn around there is alway someone standing there who cares :).

Be strong and always feel free to PM me also if you ever need someone! The one and only time I was very sick I had a great support system to help me through. Hope you are finding that you have that too

Oh and I completely agree with what the others have said about "Walk On".

BobMarley is always uplifting:

My feet is my only carriage,
So Ive got to push on through.
But while Im gone, I mean:
Everythings gonna be all right!
Everythings gonna be all right!
Everythings gonna be all right!
Everythings gonna be all right!

And this little bit from Modest Mouse:

Aliright don't worry even if things end up a bit to heavy
we'll all float on alright

I hope you will be feeling better soon Susan.
As for songs, I'd need a list of songs in order to choose, but Walk On certainly would be near the top.
