I LOVED IT.

I've never cared much for opera, never really knew much about it either. But when you see it live...This was La Traviata, by Verdi. It was awesome. The leading lady was beyond phenomenal--the power of the voice, the emotion...I don't think there was a dry eye in the house when it was over.

I may not start going out and buying recordings and so on...but as far as live opera, I'm a fan!

My new sig is from this opera

I've been to the opera a couple times now, and I loved it both times. It's really a great experience, even if you don't particularly care for opera. It's a great spectacle - music, comedy, drama, design, costumes. I'm a classical music fan, and while opera isn't my favorite, there is definitely some great music in opera.

If you liked La Traviata - you'd probably really like La Boheme (Puccini). It's one of my favorites.
