I'm trying not to, but I couldn't help but cringe when I saw Counting Crows on a Coke commercial last night (with a beach and a girl in a bikini, no less). The fact that the Strokes were in Teen People's Top 25 People Under 25 bothers me. Ash being on the Area 2 thing bothers me. The White Stripes being on the MTV Movie Awards really bothers me. I like that bands I like are becoming sucessful in the US, but I also like seeing my favourite bands at small venues. I'm also afraid of a Dave Matthews-type thing where they change in order to become more "radio-friendly." What has become of me??

get sisters that listen to top 40 shit all the time and you won't be an elitist anymore. You'll beg and cry for your music to go mainstream, I promise.

well u2 is as maintstream as it gets, so i dont really see what your getting at.

after years of waiting, nothing came.

being an elitist is natural if 90% of popmuzak is shit.

hire eminem to kill them bloody producers.

what is the difference between being an elitist and being stuck up? (musically or otherwise)
