And I really want a puff. I've been doing good, but the desire to smoke just kills me sometimes. I've saved $25, feel better physically, but still want one of those little sticks. Feck.

keep it up, and good luck<--token lame advice from someone not really fit to give it

I'm pumping myself up with the thought that the $ i save by not smoking can be used to buy beer:drool:, a computer:drool:, CD's:drool:, porn:drool:, dinner for 2:drool:, tires:drool:, papertowels:drool:, gosh, anything. I did a pack a day for 5 years, which is like $9,125 on cigs! Ouch, I am dumb!

yes i'm a naiive youngster who cannot imagine that.

seriously. i should hold off on posting until i find a less sarcastic-sounding way of typing...geez...

i'd join you in the cheering, heartlandgirl, but cujo's borrowed my cheerleading outfit and he won't give it back. what the hell...toss me a pompom-thingie

Congrats!! That is awesome...not only will you save tons of money, but you'll live longer, have whiter teeth, better breath, and smell a hulluva lot better.

*hands out pompoms to everyone*

Seriously, it's great to give up smoking. I wish you lots of luck.

I wanna smoke! Wa wa wa! Goo Goo Ga Ga! I feel like those kids in the grocery store who cry like crazy cause their mom won't buy them a candy bar! :yell:

I haven't had one in over 12 hours? Is that good?

---I'll make a deal with you...if you keep your strike alive, I'll match you every step you take. I hate those evil little sticks, but everytime I think I'm done with them, I see someone on tv, or at the bar, or anywhere lighting one up. That's usually the point at which I cave, but now I think I'm going to turn over a new leaf and join your journey.

Onward and upward!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can we get a cheer squad going?.....I have had a struggle with giving up smoking going on for a few years now. Reading about other people's efforts really helps me resist the very powerful urge. I haven't had a smoke for weeks now..and I feel so much better.
Go MrBrau, Go Dano, Go Bammo.....even Go cass.

It's not easy though is it?
Good luck

Hey Cass,

It is hard, they say the addiction is as strong a heroine. It does get easier after the first few days, but I've had to keep myself busy the whole time. Idle hands are the devils workshop. I'll give my self a real test when my brother has a kegger! Ouch.

the devil's workshop...where they make coffin nails, cancer sticks and chocolate

Hey Mr Brau.....I love your signature. I often feel like Marge Simpson here with my family....scary:huh:
