There, I said it! I still don't know most of the lyrics to Trip Through Your Wires. Just the chorus but not even all of it. Have always liked the song but just never bothered to ever look up the lyrics. :slant:

Well, here's what my iTunes widget tells me:

In the distance
She saw me comin' 'round
I was calling out
I was calling out
Still shakin'
Still in pain
You put me back together again
I was cold and you clothed me honey
I was down and you lifted me honey

Angel...
Angel or devil
I was thirsty
And you wet my lips

You, I'm waiting for you
You, you set my desire
I trip through your wires
Yeah! Yahoo!

I was broken, bent out of shape
I was naked in the clothes you made
Lips were dry, throat like rust
You gave me shelter from the heat and the dust
No more water in the well
No more water, water

Angel...
Angel or devil
I was thirsty
And you wet my lips

You, I'm waiting for you
You, you set my desire
I trip through your wires

Yeah...I need...I need...
I need...I need it...
I need...I need...all I need...yeah!

Thunder, thunder on the mountain
There's a rain cloud in the desert sky
In the distance she saw me coming 'round
I was calling out

I'm not 100% of the accuracy though.

I usually know all the lyrics, but now that i thought of it, i couldn't recite this song for the life of me. It was never one of my favorites, but still. My favorite parts of the song are Bono's yells. The harmonica kinds turns me away...

I don't even know half the lyrics to Fire .

That sounds close to what I'm hearing. Thanks. :)

no prob! though now that I see what the lyrics are, I'm kind of disheartened...I certainly wasn't saying the same lines.

It is more fun to bellow as incoherently as he does though. That's what makes the song so badass. It's not about the words, it's about the FI-YA!!!!

Don’t feel too bad. I would put money on Bono not knowing the lyrics either. Who’s going to ask him the next time they see him?
