Everybody feels like that some times. Some times I do not wanna go out with people who are my really good friends. Sometimes I don't wanna go out with them in particular and sometimes I just don't wanna go out at all. Don't beat yourself up over it. I think your self loathing is enough. She is a good friend if she is ok with it.

But I've done the same. And I feel horrible too, especially when they are really close firends.... and you should be able to tell them anything...including how you feel. I feel like a liar or I have betrayed them or whatever.. but it's not like it's a HORRIBLE thing you lied to them about you know? Sometimes telling them little while lies is ok!

You shouldn't feel this horrible, if it bothers you a lot, then tell her the truth. That way you will feel better.

we all do it at one point or another... it's perfectly human... my friend just told me a second ago that she didn't want to sound rude but that she would rather sit at home along tonight. Her boyfriend just told her that he thinks they should "take some time apart". On instinct she called me up and asked me to go over to talk, later she realized she wanted to think on her own. I'm not bitter at her and I'm sure your friend isn't either.
