You're never gonna believe what just happened to me.
I was in a restaurant picking up some food.
Walked back to the car.
Sit down in the front seat and feel that my coat pocket is wet.
I'm thinking: How did this happen?
And check the bag and the box I got.
No leaks.
How weird?!
Then I realize my cell phone is in the wet pocket.
I'm like: "Oh no!"
I get it out.
There's some drops on it.
But it appears fine.
Until I open it.
Where I read: check SIM.
O o!
That can't be good.

Meanwhile I'm still figuring out how my pocket got wet.
Until I start noticing a vague salsa smell.
Well, there you have it!
I put some salsa in a small plastic cup and must have been leaning against the bar.
There were a lot of ice cubes in there.
Maybe one accidentally fell into my coat pocket.
Melted and that's what got my cell phone a bit wet.

Any way, I've disassembled the phone and have laid out the parts to dry.
But knowing my luck the thing is probably broken.

Grumble!

I'm sure I'll laugh about it in the morning though.
Cause it's so random!

Lol as long as you let your phone dry out, it should be fine.

My mom dropped hers down the toilet, and to make a long story short, we fished it out, let it dry in front of a fan and to this day it still ticks.

Luckily it wasn't the salsa. :yikes:

No drop of alcohol involved.
And I didn't drop my phone in anything.
It was in my coat pocket the entire time.

From the way it looks now, I think the battery is damaged.
Because I get an invalid battery message when I try to start up the phone.
