A total stranger sent me chocolates!

Today, the receptionist called me and said there was a package waiting for me. Puzzled, I went down, only to discover a lovely gift bag, with a card welcoming me to my new position, and 4 very delicious chocolate truffles!

And I had never even heard of this woman before!!

Well of course she is a marketing type who wants my business, but I am still totally impressed. I have never heard of anyone going to such lenghths before. And I have no idea how she knows I changed jobs, it's not like it's some big public news or anything!

Well, I'm not complaining....one of the few perks of this job.

I'm sure the candy was fine...I like getting gifts at work too...sometimes, not too often though, customers will bring us cookies or candy at work

when i worked at this record/video store, i had this one customer bring me candy all the time cuz i'd always hold her favorite movies and new releases for her before she came in even though i wasn't supposed to do that
