My housemate and I were slightly concerned that the Mayans had predicted the end of pvp matches in online games, cos the queues dried up at midnight. Usually a wait of five minutes max turned into three hours, when presumably people came out of their bunkers and logged back on.


Uh, for you non-nerd types, pvp is player vs player, and it's a video game thing. The particular game we were playing has four different maps, all 8vs8 teams, and...yeah, I guess that's enough.


Y2k all over again.
