We've kept a lot of things relating to our relationship under wraps for the past year, but I am pleased to announce that Ashley (bono_212) and I are going to be tying the knot on February 12, 2011 or, for those who couldn't catch the significance of this date in relation to her username, 2/12/11 (only in Amurica).

Obviously, there is much to plan, so we want to leave this thread as open-ended as we possibly can in order to keep it going in the interim; any suggestions you guys have about anything regarding the wedding, as well as any answers you can offer us in the meantime are wholeheartedly welcomed. Hell, who knows, maybe we'll throw you a bone and dial up the drama; Frank The Monkey's birthday thread will be stiff competition for us.

So yeah, we'll be stringing you along for a while. An EEE!!! here, a question about tablecloths there; most importantly, we won't be accepting toasters earlier than November 1, 2010, so stay tuned for mailing info.

Especially colors. We can't decide on colors.

I mean, I ask you, just what is wrong with safety cone orange?

And, I must know, is it wrong to use a color from your parents' wedding?

Let's quantify that: Is it wrong to use THE SAME COLORS from your parent's (that IS grammatically correct btw :p) wedding, especially when the wedding was only 7 years ago?

 to be serious though, i suppose it depends. my parents had a big wedding (well, bigger than ours will be anyway). they had a huuuge wedding party, they had four colours. i like the blue and green (though the green is kind of an ugly 70s shade), but the yellow and orange? not so much.

though it's funny, my mom and i have the same thoughts about the dresses for the wedding party. we both want them to be dresses you can wear again. though i'm not sure anyone would've wanted to

I would never doubt your grammar, baby (my post utilized a hypothetical scenario where both parents were involved :shifty: ). I would, however, doubt your sanity, as well as Ian's.

BTW, I suggested your mother purchase us orange glowsticks as cheap entertainment, so we need to up the epic power ballad quotient on the playlist even further.

Sicy can suggest us some good house music, I'm sure.

I suppose I was thinking of lighters. Not sure I'm old enough to use one of those.

You know what is wrong? I won't be allowed to drink at my own wedding. So I have extra incentive to make sure it's damn good.

Congrats. You guys are so young. Oh how I miss blissful young love. : old:

As for colors I like neutral colors like maybe silver or gold. Or you could do red, that's pretty hot. Avoid prom-like colors like pink or purple. So tacky.

You're going to need to get a fake I.D. You cant have a decent wedding reception without getting trashed.

 Thanks, Sicy :).

My mom keeps suggesting Red/White because of the proximity of the date to Valentine's Day, but..I despise red, so this isn't happening.

I thought that said Avoid porn-like colors. I lulled.

My heart is kind of set on either Blue/Brown or Light Blue/Dark Blue.

Light Blue/Dark Blue

I can live with this, although I don't see the harm in adding a little green into the light blue.

Hell, with that oceanic color scheme, we can just reuse the Little Mermaid stuff from my 7th birthday party. Err, wait, what?

If you can prove to me that green would fit into this concept somewhere, I will consider it.

You're talking to someone who's actually seen your room decorations. Somehow I am not finding this hard to believe.
