A few weeks ago when we were at Disney World, we went to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. Before you scoff, just let me say that people are seriously into costumes for that shindig. Since we flew to/from Florida, we had very limited space for costumes--so we ended up in those lame false nose/glasses/eyebrows/moustaches. But it was fun, and we got tons of candy!
The decor at the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland during October is neat too.

Like I said a couple pages ago, I watched a couple of them last week and I find them entertaining enough. It's cheesy '80s stuff, and there are cute girls runnin around.

All this talk of the Halloween movies, and AMC is running 4 and 5 back to back starting in an hour. I might actually sit down and watch a little bit of it, just because of this conversation.
Check out cinemassacre.com - they have a great series on crappy 70's and 80's horror movies. Some really crazy, obscure stuff that I now feel compelled to watch.

Yay! I'll DVR, although I'm assuming we're talking about the remake.

Right now I'm watching Nightmare Before Christmas, I'm probably gonna follow that up with The Ring or Donnie Darko.

I've seen Donnie twice, and while I like the film, I'm not going to lie and say I have a real stranglehold on the plot.

I swear, the first time I watched it I understood it a lot more than on subsequent viewings, but it's one of my favorites because of the atmosphere, performances and especially the dialogue.

My 4 & 1/2 year old nephew wants to be Jason from Friday the 13th
His 7 year old brother is going to be Freddy Kreuger.

I was like, 'Do you even know who Jason is?' and he said 'yeah, he wears a hockey mask and carries a machete'

Boys will be boys.

I'm pretty sure I was a "Kooky Spook" with the dumb inflatable head at 8 years old. I remember the horrible yellow face paint. I probably will get face cancer from it someday.

This Halloween has been awesome so far.

I saw a stage production of Rocky Horror at a great little local theater just off the strip, this weekend I'm taking a road trip to see the caves (and hopefully a few bats) at Mitchell Caverns, and for the first time in probably fifteen years I will be celebrating Halloween grown-up style, with friends, in a costume, at a casino bar.

Now I just need a costume.

I just got through watching REC, other than being completely nauseated, I will say it is indeed the best 'found footage' horror I've seen.
