I always break out Dead Man's Bones to listen to around Halloween. Love that album

I was a little concerned that you were announcing there were only 6 days til Halloween, rather than quoting some lame movie I'll never watch. I saw that and thought shit!! I missed pearl jam!

Sarcasm and Too Much Crap!: Creepy Old Vintage Halloween Photos (24 Pictures)--- No super heroes and sexy nurses

These were truly creepy! :yikes:

It's a total B movie, and has absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the films in the franchise, but I've been wanting to see the actual "R" version of Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. I've only ever seen it edited for TV.

It's funny you say that. There are soooooooo many of those slasher movie sequels that I've only ever seen on TV. And I think about it every Halloween season, how silly it is that I'm sitting through Friday the 13th Part 2 for like the fifth time...on TV. The exciting parts of these movies are the over the top gory kills and the occasional shots of female nudity. But they don't show any of that on AMC.

I've wasted a lot of my life.

I bring up Friday the 13th Part 2 specifically because I actually do have a fondness for that one. It has my favorite ever "final girl" in a bad slasher movie. Her name is Ginny. She's super cute.

However IFC shows it all and they play a lot of those "films" this month.

True, yes, American Target.

But that's just the classic boxes getting the release at Target. The five flavors are supposed to be getting picked up by whatever grocery stores tend to sell GM cereal. Just in new boxes.

Canada does not allow fun cereal, in fact, fun in general was only allowed starting in 1982.

There were a couple grocery stores in toronto last year that sold them

I saw some mummy one and whatever the hell a fruit brute is the last time I went grocery shopping. I bought neither. I bought store-brand corn flakes cos apparently I'm old and cheap.

I'm not huge on any holidays, and Halloween really isn't much of an exception, but I do have to admit I'm kind of looking forward to whether the secret world will add a Halloween quest line like they did last year.

History

In October 1971, the first two cereals in the line were introduced, Count Chocula (originally called "Dr. Count Chocula") and the strawberry-flavored Franken Berry. In February 1972, Franken Berry cereal included dye that turned some children's feces pink due to an inability to break down the heavily dyed breakfast food, a symptom sometimes referred to as "Frankenberry Stool."[4][5][6] Boo Berry, reputedly the first blueberry-flavored cereal,[7] was released in 1973, and Fruit Brute the following year. Fruit Brute was discontinued by 1984 and replaced in 1987 by Fruity Yummy Mummy, which also had a short life as it was discontinued in 1993.[8]
Since 2010, Franken Berry, Boo Berry, and Count Chocula cereals are manufactured and sold only for a few months during the autumn/Halloween season in September and October. These cereals are not made and sold the rest of the year.[9][10] As of late 2010, information such as nutrition data and historical factoids can still be found on the official General Mills website at all times of the year.[7]
In August 2013, it was revealed on Dinosaur Dracula that for the first time in history, General Mills was releasing all five monster cereals for purchase during the Halloween season. Both Fruit Brute, which was being released for the first time in 29 years and Fruity Yummy Mummy, which was being released for the first time in 20 years, would also receive updated packaging like the other cereals. Additionally, it was revealed on I-Mockery that special retro edition boxes of all five cereals with their original packaging art would be sold exclusively at Target.[11]
Beginning in 2010, General Mills introduced Count Chocula cereal bars[12] and Betty Crocker has released Franken Berry and Boo Berry Fruit Roll-Ups. Those products are also released seasonally like the cereals.[13]

You guys wanna hear something super creepy? The lowrise apartment across from mine was built in the 1920s and has one of those old shack looking structures on top that you would use to access the roof. It's made of aluminum and has a creepy window on it and 4 little chimneys from when the apartments used to have working fireplaces. I only just noticed it about a week ago and thought that I'd like to go up and photograph it. The next day, I looked out my window at it and the old door swung open. Nobody came out. The door is still open

You're doomed man.
Get the F out while you can, don't go over there on a stormy night to stop the door from swinging in the wind because the sound is disturbing you, just don't!.

Put up some Halloween decorations today. This is the first year Travis and I have really decorated. We bought almost all of our decorations last year after Halloween was over for crazy good prices. Unfortunately, I see that I still need more for a lot of stuff.

My Groucho scarecrow is my favorite thing in the world, fyi.

That's awesome. So is Ashley's cauldron.

Wanna hear something spooky again? I get those weird night terror/sleep paralysis things every once in a while. Maybe once a year or so. I had one last night. I was sleeping on the stomach and heard someone next to my bed. Then it felt like there was someone lying on my back. Somehow I knew it was a creepy woman and I could hear her breathing in my ear. It lasted for about 15 seconds or so, then faded away. If you don't know what night terrors are, it's when you're 'awake', but your brain is still in sleepy time mode, so you get these really vivid hallucinations, but feel like you're not sleeping anymore. But you can't move because the part of your brain that paralyses your body when you sleep is still active. The first time I had one it was terrifying. I pretty much know what they are as they're happening now, but they can still be freaky

I've heard of those, JT. I guess it would help if you know what is going on, but so creepy while it's happening! Here's hoping you will sleep better tonight.

Thanks MsPurrl :)
They can be fun in a macabre kinda way. I definitely can't find those sorts of scares in horror movies anymore

I don't think I had one of those, but the other night as I was drifting off to sleep I was convinced I'd seen two massive spiders on my bed and I freaked out.

We had a cool discussion about those a couple years ago in random music. A few of us have had them. joyfulgirl i remember was one of them.

It happens to me frequently. Really fucked up.
