For those of you who aren't familiar with the Myer Briggs Personality test, it is a test that gives you a 4-letter description of your personality with each letter corresponding to a different part of your personality...strung together these may give an insight into common traits that you share with other people. I thought sense this is a U2 site it would be fun to see if there are any simiarity among people who like U2
The quiz is located at http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp
there are Roughly 70 yes/no questions to answer

My type is INFP

I'm INTJ. Sounds kind of right for the most part:
-moderately expressed introvert
-moderately expressed intuitive personality
-distinctively expressed thinking personality
-slightly expressed judging personality

I am ISFP ( Involved, Sensing, Feeling, Perceiving)
I agree alot with this I tend to rely a lot on my senses and feelings
Qualitative analysis of your type formula

 • slightly expressed sensing personality
 • moderately expressed feeling personality

You are:
 • very expressed introvert
 • distinctively expressed intuitive personality
 • slightly expressed thinking personality
 • slightly expressed judging personality

:hmm:

Don't really like to think in boxes either, but this test seems pretty accurate to my personality, I'm an ISFJ.

Introverted; Sensing; Feeling; Judging.

- moderately expressed introvert
- slightly expressed sensing personality
- distinctively expressed feeling personality
- moderately expressed judging personality

Longer and more detailed descriptions can be found on http://www.personalitypage.com/portraits.html
they also include info on relationships and careers
The test really doesnt try to put you in a box it just tries to show you preferences between two opposite choices (i.e. If i had to choose to use my right hand or my left hand, I would prefer to use my right)

That just means I share something in common with 'right handers' not that i'm boxed in and cant use my left hand if i would like to

Also INTJ.

These results are surprising as INTJ's are only supposed to represent around 2%.

ESFJ (Extraverted, Sensing, Feeling, Judging)

You are:
-slightly expressed extravert

-slightly expressed sensing personality

-moderately expressed feeling personality

-moderately expressed judging personality

Didn't take this test specifically, but I consistently come up as an INFJ on others. Apparently, we're only about 1-2% of the population. It seems to describe my personality quite well though, once I'm honest with myself about, well, me.

No surprise in this result for me:

ISTJ (Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging)

 • moderately expressed introvert
 • distinctively expressed sensing personality
 • very expressed thinking personality
 • moderately expressed judging personality

I did this with my boyfriend and my family, and was amazed at how intuitive the test was for each of us.
What are the bits in your "group" that really stood out to you?
Mine is that i get excited over new ideas but quiteoften will drop them before i've completed them to move on to a new one
that i hate mundane tasks and am always late for things, but can be organised in places i want to be
that i love talking and socialising and being the center of attention (to my detriment! haha)
that i can read other people really well and know how to fit with them/put them at ease
etc
all of these really rang true with me :)

did you have any that stood out and you went 'omg yes, that is me'?
all those

Financeguy, I can we can just assume that the 2% post at Interference. So much for your silent majority! Need to reach out, brother, need to take it to the Yahoo forums (if such a thing exists).

INTP.

I've taken a comprehensive one of these tests, as well as multiple online ones. Always INTP.

I'm ISFJ. Based on the temperament description, I'm not surprised at all, and it's very accurate. I took the full test in university as part of my degree program, but can't remember if it was the same back then or not. Either way, I'd say that pretty much describes me to a T.
