not sure if you noticed this, but right about 4 years before your daughter was born you posted this to your blog:

i've been up for 6 hours, and have done nothing except sit around and be completely useless. part of me is having the best day of my life, the other part feels restless, like i should be doing something more productive.

those were the days, eh?

you've probably received 98712346213421364678345 pieces of advice over the last year, but i'll give you mine....take pictures & video of your daughter crying.

i know it sounds strange, but everybody takes pictures of their kids laughing and being good. but a child's cry changes so much from newborn to infant to toddler (by then it becomes a scream).

i have a nephew who is now 3 years old, it goes so damn fast
