Oh we've had 100%. I don't know how Florida can stand this.
Rachel D. said:Aww, boo hoo, East Coast. It was 112 degrees where I live a few days ago, and that's not the heat index. It's funny how it's suddenly news when the heat dome gets to the Important Region. We're having the worst heat and drought since the Dust Bowl and New Yorkers act like they're living in hardship because it's 104. I saw the NBC Nightly News earlier tonight and they were talking about the horrible temperatures in the 90s that the East has to endure for the next few days.

Travis doesn't believe that I have SAD over it being summer. I really, really just get super bummed out when it's hot like this. But, no, I realize it's not actual SAD, and I would totally trade places with you in a heartbeat 'twere it possible.
Temp got as low as a chilly 96 last night. Back in the 100's again today... the way the roads and steel buildings here in Manhattan retain the heat makes it even worse.
Power grid is being pushed to it's limits. Hopefully it holds up...

Certainly all your tears can sustain a few crops for a couple days, no?

We've had 30 days of 100+ heat this year.
And it ain't stopping any time soon.
Fuck this heat, no matter where you are.
he says when he sat out on a deck when the heat index was like 110 or some shit.i miss it being warm
although i say "warm" and not "bastard hot" because as soon as i got too toasty i was back in front of a bloated air conditioner.
oh yeah, like ashley said i've seen 100% humidity. it's awful.I didn't even know 82% humidity was even possible, it must be unbearable.
I'll take 120F dry heat anytime compared to that.
No spoken words said:I live a block from the ocean, so, it's not hot at all here. You know, cos of the ocean breeze, etc.
It's hot as a hairdryer in you face
