This is quickly growing into my favorite thread here. I spent a month buying (and returning a few times before finally settling on a idiot-proof suitable choice) a GPS unit so that my wife and son wouldn't get lost on his summer circuit. I have horror stories and still jump up in bed in the middle of the night in a cold sweat.

Any mod who removes the erroneous apostrophe from the thread title will have my undying love.

It's driving me CRAZY every time I come in here.

That was my plan all along.

Fucking with your mind makes me very happy. :)

i would 'like' this, if this were facebook. :)

the last GPS we had as we travel here in the States, Dad said it to an Australian accent.

it's hard to pay attention to because whoever has tried to imitate the accent has failed abysmally

Christopher Walken's staccato would do more harm than good, especially when he tells you about a turn 50 miles in advance.

"The ice is going to break!"

I would want my Garmin GPS voice to be, either Larry King or Julie Kavner aka Marge Simpson.
