Yeah I don't know what the landlord was thinking. Who outfits a rental with white carpets? Good thing I own a SpotBot and ProHeat2x. The worst stains for my white carpet is actually water marks. If I clean up a spill or stain and don't absorb ALL the water and dry it promptly we get a watermark, then I have to go through the process again to remove the watermark. Dirt is actually not so bad b/c it doesn't stain. Often once it dries it vacuums up fine. Pee or barf gets cleaned immediately so doesn't have a chance to stain. Our carpet goes up to the front door and b/c of the weather seal on the door I can't put a rug down, so we get the watermarks when it rains or snows and people go in/out. Every few months I deep clean and start like new.

Is it ok for dogs to nibble and eat some grass?

Yeah, as long as there's not chemicals on it. Mine nibble on it daily. The only problem is when Coke munches on an empty stomach, if he gets too much he will vomit but it's just grass and foam. I try to feed him as soon as I get home from work before he gets the munchies. Are yours munching? If so, make sure they are eating grass and not poop or some dead animal. Nikon only munches grass out of avoidance (like if he is practicing a long down for obedience and feels pressured by me), but he will take any opportunity to eat goose poop and deer poop.

I had to fix the fence because the rabbits from the hill kept on visiting our backyard and they would drop poop like crazy...hence our doggie eating it along with some grass.
No chemicals, just good 'old grass.

I guess rabbit poop is delicious. Most dogs I know with big yards and rabbits eat it.

My dog specifically eats grass to throw up. It doesn't happen very often, once every year or two. She knows when she needs to, so there's really no point in stopping her. Although, the only grass I have any more is what grow through my fence. My tiny city-yard is fully mulched.

The main thing is to leave the dog outside if you suspect they might throw up poop or grass. That is not fun to clean up.

Mine also feast on rabbit poop (and rabbits if they have the chance). One of the main reasons I put up a fence. There used to be so much rabbit shit in the yard there was no way I could get them not to eat any, but I always worried about them getting coccidia.
