(Recipes thread is old and nearly at 500, so... >_____> )

I'm sure we can all appreciate some food porn and food gab. So to get the ball rolling:

Ever dropped acid?

You have now.

Also, I bought a jar of pasta sauce (cherry tomato and balsamic) but it's really vinegary, what can I do about this? I hear adding sugar works, can anyone vouch for this or suggest otherwise?

:cocktail:

This thread would be a hell of a lot different if we just utilized a couple of commas.

Food, Porn, and Discussion.

That would really get the ball rolling.

How would even begin to make a cake like that? That looks really good.

Apparently you divide the cake mix into little bowls, add colouring to each then combine it back together in the tin. I'd like to give it a go one day, but I dont think the UK has such technocolour food colouring as the US. :hmm: Google "rainbow cake", it brings up more pics and details. :)

Sounds like my kind of party

:shifty:

The greatest thing ever. Monsieur Croque. Basically ham and cheese with a mustard dijon type sauce grilled on a sourdough bread with melted cheese on top. Freaking DELISH.

Seriously.. this place I go to used to make it and then one day it was NOT ON THE MENU and I pretty much threw a fit and made them make it for me anyway.

Poutine, fries have to be fried twice to get that dark brown look and flavour, you need to use cheese curds (not shredded and absolutely not mozzarella), and a dark gravy (no chicken-based watery crap.

I managed to find cheese curds in Texas, and I tried my hardest to make Poutine, but the gravy I got was terrible. I'll have to try again sometime.

They have a similar thing on the Isle of Man, their national take away is chips (UK chips like), cheese and gravy. Tastes like a bland lasagne, is the only way to describe it. :hmm:

I love chips and gravy, never had poutine before though.

This is my stuff, bros:

Chili sauce is better than anything at Nando's, and at 1/45th of the price.

Sicy, that half/half pizza looks amazing, did you make it or is it a google result? (or both)

Holy shit :combust:
CHEESE is one of my favorite things to eat EVER.

All the pictures I posted are pics I've taken myself of food I've eaten (see my Food Porn album on fb lolz). That pizza was the bomb! From California Pizza Kitchen.

Then I tried to make it myself at home. It was good but soooo not the same.

Sicy, do you like Cuban sandwiches?

Not my pic, but it's been in my tummy many times.
Tony O's Cuban Sandwich from Target Field.
Roasted Pork, Ham, Swiss Cheese, Pickles, Dijon Mustard on Cuban Bread and grilled on a press.

Corvette Diner: Turkey/avocado/BLT, onion rings, and "tunafish" cocktail (can't remember exactly what was in it but it was a bunch of booze, and it was good.)

There was a restaurant by my college that had these blue drinks. They went down as easy as Kool-Aid, which meant they were the devil. I don't remember what they were called on the menu, but we called them Smurf Pee.

Last weekend I was out and this whole table full of guys were drinking them, but this bar called it AMF. Adios, Motherfucker.

And Sicy, I think it's actually called Croque Monsieur, not Monsieur Croque. /anal retentive nitpicker

:reject:

Google is such a bitch.

I could be wrong, but I've always seen it referred to as Croque Monsieur. Like in books and recipe blogs and junk.
