i just tried a new recipe and made these - pecan and cinnamon marble slab cake - they look a bit rough but the flavours are really really good! will definitely make them again!

That looks amazing mama cass.

I had about 2 pounds of chocolate kisses sitting around here after Christmas so I've mad a few batches of cookies to try and use them up. Made a variation of the regular peanut butter kiss cookie by adding a half cup of cocoa powder to the peanut butter dough and they were good! Still definitely a peanut butter cookie taste, but more chocolate flavor for the chocolate lovers. (The recipe is on Hershey.com)

And just because they're pretty. The gold was my favorite as a it had a orange flavor. I loooove the taste of chocolate and orange.

cupcakes I made for a circus themed event. The snow cones were placed in actual snow cone cups and then put on holders on the tables. The "popcorn" is marshmallows with yellow edible glitter. It took me a full day to cut them and then put them on the cupcakes

I do feel lucky! And I've never tasted oranges anything close to as delicious as the ones from our tree.

I tried frog for the first time recently. It tastes like fish but it looks like chicken.

oh god i've tried frogs legs twice - first time some friends made them for us when my kids were tiny, aged about 8/10, and the kids absolutely LOVED them! they wolfed them down!! i guess they looked like tiny chicken drumsticks (although cooked in cream and garlic) and they were perfect for their tiny fingers!

i was later asked to make some for family as they were desperate to try frogs legs when they came to visit - must say handling them did make me a little queasy - the little legs are cut off in pairs from the waist down - oh god they gave me the eebie jeebies LOL! but they did look much better once they were smothered in sauce, baked and sprinkled with parsley... again, all the kids seemed to love them, even though us adults were a little more reserved LOL

it's not something i go out of my way to eat... neither are snails LOL speaking of which, one time at a French wedding here, my son, who would've been about 9 at the time, came up to me at the buffet dinner and said "mmmmm these spinach pies are GOOD!!" - he didn't realise they were snail tarts sprinkled with tons of parsley! i explained though, and he popped another one in his mouth to see and said "bit chewy but still tastes like spinach" haha

Intriguing, that's basically the opposite of crocodile

A friend wants to take me to this yumcha place she digs so I can try chicken legs, which she absolutely loves. I've seen them on Ethiopian menus and stuff but I can't say I'm heaps keen.

I can't imagine how chicken legs/feet can be good. They're just skin, bones, and scales.
