Tomatoes/olives aside, I feel like if an ingredient is supposed to be on a sandwich, I should leave it on there. But they just overdo it with those sprouts.

I like sprouts, but they scare me because of their seemingly disproportionate propensity to have E.coli.

I feel like I'm being judged whenever the sandwich maker behind the counter looks at me and asks ".... you just want meat and cheese?"

DON'T JUDGE ME. I eat vegetables*. Just not on sandwiches!

Haha I'm guilty of being a behind the counter "judger".

"Really? You just want turkey and tomatoes? This sandwich is seven fucking dollars. What's wrong with you?"

Huh...I didn't know that. Thankfully I only see them at JJs and I've only eaten there about five times.

i'm not a big fan of panera. speaking of 7 dollar sandwiches with not a lot of stuff, i like a lot of stuff on my sandwich and expect a bit more than some chicken, peppers, and bacon (no, everything is NOT better with bacon) on some fancy bread. not worth it.

Panera is not my favorite place either, but they have a turkey artichoke sandwich that I'd very possibly kill over.

Hey, for seven dollars, I get to choose what is exactly on my sandwich.

Haha, true enough.

It was more the people who got JUST MEAT that killed me. Especially when that meat was turkey.

I really like McAlister's Deli. I had never heard of it until I was in college. They have really good sandwiches, but they also have baked potatoes and soup that isn't too bad, either. They're also known for their sweet tea.

Now I want a sandwich.

I'm not a huge fan of Panera either. I think the sandwiches aren't that great for the price. The salads are ok but it's just not my favorite place to go. My mom likes it there so if we're out running errands together that's usually the fast food place of her choice so I tolerate it, especially since she pays But I really just like sub places where I can pick what I want. Plus a lot of places like Subway is big enough for two lunches. Can't beat that for $5.00. I'm always hungry when I leave Panera

And as a vegetarian I eat just about any kind of vegetable there is but do NOT put sprouts on my food Sprouts and red onions are evil....

ian has the same issue. i used to as well before i liked veggies. at subway, the lettuce seems to be the big thing. they're asking you what you want on it, with a huge bit of lettuce already in their hand. it seems to throw them off when you say "nothing, thanks" so i just get the lettuce (not a huge raw veggie fan unless it's something leafy) to shut them up. plus it's a filler, so my subs don't look all tiny and sad. they need roasted red peppers or something, if veggies are cooked i can eat just about anything.

and ooh yes, i saw mcalister's mentioned. they're great. i usually get their club sandwich which is yummy. and oh yes, the tea. i'm an unsweet drinker but it's great.

oh oh and panera has cream of broccoli soup? not that gross broccoli cheese soup? i used to be able to get cream of broccoli everywhere when i was a kid, then everyone realised people love cheese and everyone switched to that. blech, i must be the only person who hates broccoli and cheese together.

I used to be like that as a kid, but now lettuce, peppers, and onions are a assumed for me. But noting more. Maybe tomatoes? I don't really like em but I eat em anyways.
