I know this is an odd topic for a music forum, but this this TV commercial touches me. We all know Capt "Sully" Sullenberger as the pilot who landed the jet in the Hudson River. He's kept a very low profile since, and hasn't "cashed in" like you would expect most people would do (although I'm sure he's had plenty of offers).
The first time we see him pitching anything comes about a year after his Hudson-heroics. But he's not pitching shaving razors, deoderant, sunglasses, or anything like that. Instead, he's doing doing a charity ad for St. Jude's Children's Hospital. What an honorable human being. What a great cause. Faith in humankind restored until tomorrow's news headlines. Thanks Sully. Time to get out the checkbook.
After this, I hope he does cash in. He deserves it.
