I always thought for sure I'd get into psychology and got specifically into developmental psychology in school. Aced it, but was bored to tears. I couldn't imagine what I would do with it, despite all the possibilities. I veered off into anthropology and got quite passionate about cultural anthropology and primatology thanks to an amazing prof who lit a fire under me on so many issues. While in psychology, I took anatomy and physiology, which eventually led me into massage therapy and I quickly knew I found my "thing". It's what I do and I love reaching people on a more nurturing level, but sometimes I contemplate going back to university and finishing anthropology. What for, I don't know. Will I? Not a clue.. Right now I'm fulfilled where I am.

I double majored in history and political science as an undergraduate and worked on Capitol Hill for a few years after I graduated. I became really disillusioned with that after September 11th, the Iraq War build-up, etc., and moved to England to go to grad school where I did a postgraduate diploma (a Masters without the dissertation) in modern history. That was an absolute disaster (I did well academically, but hated my university and my course), then I moved, got married and spent ages looking for a job until I found one in an academic library. Now I'm still working there and doing an MScEcon in Information and Library Studies through distance learning. I'm not entirely:convinced it will help my career, though, since library jobs are rare and many don't require a qualification anymore.

If you want to fix the yucky face, you have to go into the advanced edit options. Quick edit won't let you do it.

I have a BA in English, out of college 7 1/2 years. The first 5, I was an Assistant Manager at the Gap. For a little more than a year I was in banking; first a teller and then the person who opened your checking account and tried to make you turn your CD or savings account into an annuity. Now I underwrite small fleet truckers' insurance, with a big helping of on-the-phone customer service.

Like others...I speak English, and that's about it.

Nope. I majored in legal studies and definitely don't want to go into law.

So now I will be going back to school soon and getting a degree in Health Information Technology/Medical Coding. My main goal is to be a Registered Health Information Technician and a Clinical Coding Specialist.

English major/mortgages. Both involve analyzing creative fiction.
