Not even close. I have a fine arts degree with a minor in philosophy, I work in workforce management/resource planning.

Traitor. We had big hopes for you. You let us down. We don't forget. Unless you do one of those stupid forgetting spells on us. But that's cheating. That's against the code.

I have a BA with a double major in music and English (writing emphasis). I did teach piano for a few years after college, but I hated being self-employed.

Now I'm an employee benefits specialist. Quite the natural progression, right?

I got my B.A. and M.A. in Classics (the study of the Latin and Greek languages and cultures), and now I'm a Latin and Greek teacher. So yeah, I'm using my degree. Still paying for it too!

My degree is in French and Spanish. Teaching French (and one English class) now. If I hadn't done my teacher training I'd have no idea what I'd be doing now. I doubt it would involve using my languages though.

You're derailing the thread. You're not even out of college yet.

Ironically this is what I did as an English major and this is what I do now that I work with numbers. Full circle.

I have a PhD in English and am an assistant professor in a college writing department (for now...I'm back on the job market this year...). My area of specialization is creative writing and that's not what I'm teaching, but it's nice to have a full-time job and benefits and stuff.
